Hello all,

I have been using SWlines 2008 diagram sheet for a timetable I am writing for a 2011 TT, and some of the times that were around still are and was able to find where stock was from, but I am struggling to find where stock is used from Westbury on a Saturday in the current FGW TT.

To save me spending a whole day at Westbury, would someone be able to help with any info they can find?

1. First is the 1010 Westbury to Warminster shuttle. I cannot see where this comes from as nothing terminates nearby to work it. There is a 0830 Cardiff - Pompey which comes in at 1001 and thought the unit might be attached to it, but it's booked to stop for no more than a minute so I can't see it coming from there. Does it come out the yard after sitting there all morning?

2. There is the 0908 Worcester - Westbury service that's due there at 11:35 but am unsure what working it does next. It looks like it might turn spare at Westbury Yard but it must come out to play later on?

3. Last one is the 1909 Westbury to Southampton, no terminaters nearby so am stumped with this one too. Same situation with number 1 as there is a Cardiff - Pompey due at 1901 but again, it's booked for a stop under a minute. Is this maybe booked from the unit above or sourced from elsewhere?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Regards,

James.

Ok the best i can work out from the copy of the FGW timetable booklet i have is that there is a weymouth train into westbury at 18:35 which departs at 18:39 a unit could be detached from this at Westbury to form the 19:09 departure to Southampton.

There is a arrival into westbury from Southampton at 09:34 which could use 1 unit otherwise there may be a unit sitting in the yard. I have seen a class 153 stabling there at times.

Is that the 08:27 Southampton - Worcester? I see it's booked there for 4 minutes so it might be. I have seen a unit or two in the sidings but have always been usure if it stays overnight, as there is quite a bit that comes out the sidings in the morning and looks like it might use the up yard since the two DMU sidings are short.

TheWarlus - I have seen that too on Weekdays, but unfortunately its 0909 on a Saturday which works right through to Weymouth with a few units in tow!

Thank you both kindly for helping, it will get resolved and maybe I'll take a trip to Westbury just at 10am. It looks like the 1135 terminator might indeed work out the 1911 as I know there is usually a unit stabled in the afternoon in the yard, and also I did wonder if it worked the Westbury - Swindon, but that would come off the Frome terminator.

Thank you somersetlever but may I ask where this is from, or rather what date it is?

I am stumped with the 1135 arrival as you say its 2M12 1440 to Cheltenham, in fact on Saturdays there is only a 1506 to Swindon, it must be this one then?

When the 1010 Warminster shuttle returns to Westbury, it is ECS to Westbury DS?

and finally, the 0649 should be 2 sets? I know at westbury at least one unit couples up to 1F06 at Westbury then gets detached at BTM to, I think, join onto the 0909 Weymouth...

I appeciate you taking the time to put the info up though it is much appreciated! :)
