At this point, it's false advertising, negligent management, and low-key discrimination into leading people into thinking that they can only travel if they have cars.

It's not acceptable. Some of my local buses today were still 'essential travel only' and were pumping the 'key workers' line, it's months beyond that now and whilst I appreciate actively encouraging the masses back onto public transport isn't suitable just yet, actively discouraging them is just as bad if not worse and will cause much long-term damage to the industry.

*Any* announcement done by a child is like fingernails on a blackboard to me (perhaps you can guess I don't have children ;)

There was one at some Underground stations last year (I seem to recall Baker Street and Waterloo); I can't remember what it was an announcement *for* as it irritated me so much I couldn't listen.

The most annoying one is the child of a "key worker", that's bordering on emotional blackmail IMO.

This one really annoys me too.

Do the announcements from "key workers" in stations do anyone else's head in? The most annoying one is the child of a "key worker", that's bordering on emotional blackmail IMO.

Sure, people should follow the rules but let us get on with our journey. I'm fine with the general reminders on face coverings but the others can go right in the bin as far as I'm concerned.
Yes.

These announcements were clearly designed to make people who were not key workers feel guilty for travelling.

I felt they were not entirely appropriate at the time. In the current climate they are totally unacceptable.

As a key worker myself I feel the constant harping on about key workers to be really cringeworthy; it's as if they are suggesting people who work in industries that were shut down are somehow inferior, and I cannot accept that at all.

Or indeed people who work in an industry that wasn't shut down and need to use a train to get to their non key-work.
