Cranbrook to Plumstead 24 Feb. Anytime early evening e.g. 17.39 or 18.39. Return journey flexible - can do Sunday can do Monday eve. I know there are some replacement buses part route on the 24th but that's not a disaster. But it's saying no fares, or only quoting £97 or £118! When it's usually 60 or so. Have network card. For a work trip so got to be sensible. Anyone understand what's happening?

You probably need to force the journey on to the bus, by selecting via Gillingham.

I tried via Salisbury and that didn't do anything
Trains are running via Salisbury but not via Gillingham, which is why you need via Gillingham to get Network Railcard discounted tickets.

Ok thanks I'll look into it. Work pays so can do without discounts if much faster

Thanks @Haywain for your advice much appreciated. Anyone who is available, I looked into it more https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:Y21111/2025-02-24 shows the train will run from Cranbrook to Waterloo (but via Westbury). I'll need to put via Gillingham in booking system (or use a non-planner TVM for future date) to get the ticket. However, would you agree that I would be (in practice, even if not strictly in theory) OK to get on at Cranbrook on the 18.39 with my Network Railcard ticket for Cranbrook to Plumstead and sit there through to Waterloo?
