As many of you know the bridge between Didcot and Oxford is out
I have an advance cross country ticket between reading and Manchester. I noticed online Avanti is offering ticket acceptance, would avanti accept my ticket between London and Manchester like network rail even though it's an advance single

I'm booked on GWR to Paddington and back, so will be going via Birmingham and Euston instead on my existing tickets. My ticket retailer has obtained for me seat reservations on the Avanti services that fit in with my timings, so I'm presuming they will accommodate people in your situation too.

I booked mine through Trainpal, is there anything I'd have to do to travel on the Avanti / GWR without paying any fares or fees

The ticket acceptance described on the CrossCountry website doesn't discriminate based on ticket type. Your ticket will be valid to travel "via any reasonable route" on operators including GWR and Avanti. You will also be able to use your Advance on the Tube, as the acceptance includes London Underground.

You don't have to do anything to avail of ticket acceptance, that's the whole point of it.

Is there any rules about peak times with the acceptance or is it anytime
(My booked train runs during the off peak)
No, there are no limitations stated in the ticket acceptance. In any event, there is no general definition of what is peak or off-peak (it is down to the individual fare or restriction code in question), and you hold an Advance ticket rather than an Off-Peak ticket.

You don't need to worry here, you should have no issues going via London :)
