Hi!

I’m hoping someone on here may know...
I applied for a job with Cross Country (revenue & support specialist) 28/01/2020, received an email saying we look forward to hearing more about you and aim to get in contact within 2-4 weeks so keep checking your emails.

Anyone who has been through the process, do they email if you are unsuccessful in getting an interview?

I emailed their recruitment team to ask and had no response unfortunately.

Amy :)

I also emailed their recruitment team to ask and had no response unfortunately.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Regarding your query - it is not uncommon for job applications to drag on for months without any sort of update. Some TOCs do put a benchmark on a time to get back to candidates which is like you said 2-4 weeks. However, it can go well beyond this.

I do believe Cross Country have a small HR and to be fair they have advertised quite a few vacancies in the last couple of months so they could be dealing with many other people like yourself.

What I will say is just check your application on the Deutsche Bahn site every once in a while and if it is marked as 'Application in Process' then it is still live and you haven't been rejected. I would personally refrain from contacting their HR - it's purely a waiting game I'm afraid but you will get an update in due course.

Patience is the key to anything in the rail industry. Good luck and all the best.

That’s very useful thanks! My application does still say in progress on their site. I’ve only ever applied for jobs for the train company I currently work for so I’m not familiar with the other companies recruitment process.

I guess I just expected if it was going to go beyond the 2-4 weeks I may have had some sort of email saying bare with us, I don’t know. Thanks for your help stopped me worrying so much as other people have said to give up with it now as I’d of heard back but I was still holding out some hope!
