Evening,

For those of you interested, Crossrail is recruiting for the role of Traffic Manager. It encompasses the traditional roles of a Signaller and Electrical Control Operator.

You would be multi skilled in both roles (one of the only jobs, where you are trained in both in the UK) and would work on a 24/7 shift basis.

Usual benefits of 2 x Oyster cards, good pension, progression within TfL and LUL etc.

Roles are appointed into a wait list, as and when vacancies arise.

Salary - £34,765 + 30% shift allowance

Closes - 6th October

Im surprised how low the pay is considering what signallers and ECO's get paid in NR, its only equivalent to a grade 4/5 :o

If I’m honest I think it’s about right. They’re not throwing money at any other grades apart from Train Drivers. Elizabeth Line isn’t even open yet let alone making any serious money. They’re a new company who are still in their infancy so I’d give it a good 5-10 years after the 2020 opening for things to even change. However, the current salary with 30% on top is roughly 45k so..... take it or leave it I guess.
