Hi, does anybody know if SWT have a particular cycle policy during Glastonbury?

I am intending to cycle away from the site on the Monday after the festival and get on a station before Castle Cary to then travel into London but want to make sure there is not a blanket ban or anything. The website doesn’t mention anything.

Well, SWT no longer exists and it is SWR, but their station before Castle Cary is Yeovil Pen Mill, which is, I think, served by a few trains to London Waterloo. It might be possible to catch a train from Bruton and go to Waterloo either via Westbury, which will be a train that previously served Cary, or via Yeovil, which will have Cary as the next station. The main operator is GWR to Paddington, but their previous station is Taunton; although it is across the Levels. (This excludes any special workings.)

It is but if you are going to cycle to Yeovil you might as well go to the Junction and get a train to London that avoids Castle Cary completely.

Indeed.
Depending on the OP's destination, Bridgwater might be worth considering (but of course is GWR which I presume means reservations....
