Darlington route 16

Was recently checking stagecoach north east's routes on bus times and noticed the route 16, currently operated by Hodgsons from Harrowgate Hill to Mowden/West Park in Darlington, under their routes as "from sep 1" however I have not seen anything from either company to say they are taking over the route. Anyone have any information on this?

Following contract changes, Stagecoach are delighted to have been chosen to operate Service 16 on behalf of Tees Valley Combined Authority from Monday 2 September 2024!


Service 16 provides a number of handy local links across Darlington, serving Mowden, Hummersknott, the Town Centre, North Road and Harrowgate Hill, with buses operating up to every 60 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes.


On Stagecoach Service 16, all adult single fares are £2, with U21’s also travelling for only £1. Tees Valley Smartzone passes are also valid on Service 16, as are all English National Concessionary Travel passes.
