Namely, the Southern one that starts at 10;00 .
I got one yesterday, just to have a day out in the sun in Sussex.
Why didn't it operate the barrier?
I explained to mesen that as I was trying to get through the barrier BEFORE 10am to catch a train that left at 10:06----- That is why the barrier wouldn't let me through. I have no problem (much) with this.
Gradually, the novelty of the ranger started to wear off. After having no exit/entry allowed, until the inspectors inspected the ticket at every start /stop, I asked the bods at Littlehampton, WHY?
Even inspectors can't answer. They did give a cloo...
There is no such station as "ANY SOUTHN TRAIN" That is what is printed just after LONDON VICTORIA.
Why can't SOUTHN change the barrier kit to read these tickets?
I did ask what would happen if you wheren't here to inspect me ticket and let me pass.
They replied, the barrier would be open.
At the end of my day yesterday, I'd only spent £20 on this ranger.
Did have a jolly good day out. This niggle didn't niggle me. Much. I suppose that niggles get worse in the end.
Can they get this ranger ticket to open the barrier?
I decided to leave this one in Sussex last night. Mileage and beers had been clocked up to acceptable levels.
UNTIL, I saw a couple of posts reg: fare payers (?) being done for not paying.
Not going to comment on them. I wasn't a non payer (for what ever reason)
I stumped up the £20 that they wanted. In advance. You have to this to get this ranger! Why didn't my ticket work the barriers all over Sussex?
