Delay repay

Hello,

Just a quick delay repay question.

Yesterday evening I travelled from London Kings Cross to Redcar Central departing 1630 changing at Northallerton arriving at Redcar for 1947.

Obviously there were various issues, our LNER service was delayed getting into Northallerton but as our TPE connection was also delayed, we made it.

Arrived in to Redcar 20 minutes late. Advised to put in delay repay as the service was more than. 15 minutes late.

TPE have responded today to say that it's rejected and it's down to LNER.

Is it worth appealing?

Yes, you should appeal. Since you didn't miss your connection, it's irrelevant that your LNER train was delayed. It didn't play any role in your delay since you would have been delayed by the TPE train even if the LNER train had been on time.

It's particularly worth appealing since LNER don't provide Delay Repay for delays of less than 30 minutes.

Thank you. Have submitted an appeal. Just thought it sounded a little haphazard of them!
