Hi all,

Thank you for having me. I have been kindly given a disabled persons bus pass by my local council as I cannot drive due to a psychiatric condition (bipolar). I have a lot of anxiety and don't want to be in breach of the rules so I thought I would come here before using it.

I know that I can only use rail services after 9:30 but I think I read somewhere there is an exemption on this for thames link for one route.

This is the route I am hoping to use for work. I am planning on getting the thameslink between Kentish Town and Elephant and Castle before 9:30 if possible.

Is the legally OK? I can't specific guidance on this route again. Would be massively appreciated if anyone can point me in the right direction. If it is not OK, I will use the tube.

Thank you all!

Just for total clarity (as I don’t think this was explicitly stated in the first post), this eligibility only applies to Freedom Pass holders; Disabled bus passes issued by councils outside of London are solely for free bus travel.
