TfL has announced the three firms bidding to run the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).
The company running the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is on a shortlist to extend its operation of the line.
Transport for London (TfL) has announced a list of three firms bidding to take charge of the line from April 2025.
The list includes current operator KeolisAmey Docklands - a joint venture between Keolis and Amey - as well as ComfortDelGro and Connecting Docklands.
ComfortDelGro is a multinational firm listed on Singapore's stock exchange. It owns companies including Metrobus, which operates bus services in London, and Megabus.

Connecting Docklands is a joint venture between Newcastle-based transport firm Go Ahead and Canadian-British engineering company Atkins, which did work on the London Olympics and designed the diagonal pedestrian crossings at Oxford Circus.
The existing franchise has been held by KeolisAmey since 2014. The new contract is expected to run for an initial eight years with potential two-year and seven-month extensions. The contract is worth an estimated £2.3 billion. The franchisee is responsible for train and passenger service operations on the DLR network and management of the automatic train control system, as well as maintenance of all rolling stock, infrastructure and assets.

Interesting, surprised the likes of Arriva Rail London and MTR weren't shortlisted seeing their experience running services in London with LO and EL respectively. Connecting Docklands and KeolisAmey both have experience running rail services (With Go Ahead running GTR and KeolisAmey running the DLR) whereas ComfortDelGro only runs bus and coach services. Looks like it's all to play for.

I assume it'll be news to many, especially those at Go-Ahead, that ComfortDelGro own Metrobus.
There weren't very accurate with only runs coach and bus services either.

They also own ComputerCab in Liverpool and Aberdeen, and Argyle Satellite which are all taxi / private hire. Lots of taxi businesses in China too

They do have some rail businesses : Auckland One Rail, New Zealand; SBS transit rail and ComfortDelGro transit, both in Singapore.
