Because of the Eastleigh 100 celebrations i thought we could have some questions about Eastleigh.Feel free to add your own

Q1 If you count the Borough Eastleigh has 7 stations. What are the 7 stations?

Q2 Which locomotives have carried the word Eastleigh in their names?

Q3 what was the original name of Eastleigh station?

1. I can think of Eastleigh, Southampton Airport Parkway nee Eastleigh Airport (yes I can remember that far back!), Chandlers Ford, Hedge End, Botley, Bursledon, Hamble, Netley. Woolston and Sholing are both I think in Easteligh Constituency.

3. Cheating (I looked it up), I as I had no idea, it was originally opned in 1839 as Bishopstoke, then renamed Bishopstoke Junction in 1852, Eastleigh and Bishopstoke in 1889, and Eastleigh in 1923.

Botley Station is apparently in Curbridge and not in Botley per se! I think despite Wiki suggesting it's in Eastleigh it's in Winchester?

Woolston and Sholing are in the City of Southampton but in Eastleigh Parliamentary Constituency which is just me showing of...having lived in Netley Abbey and commuted to Woolston!
