I was earlier than usual on my commute this morning, and picked up the 8.34 from AML into town.

It seems like this service begins at Reading - is this a regularly scheduled service? Reading services usually pass through Acton.

Thank you!

The long-term plan schedule for that train does not include a stop at Action Main Line. Short-term plan overlays for 6-10 November, 13-17 November and 20-24 November have that stop inserted.

As those STP overlays have been input week by week, it may be that dates beyond 24 November also get the stop inserted in due course.

From the December timetable change, the 0724 and 0754 ex Reading will stop at Acton Main Line permanently.

This has been done since early November however has a STP change.

Thank you all, good to see Acton Main Line getting some increase in service. I wonder whether this is down to the popularity of the station, or another reason?
Will this just be in the peak or do you think we'll see more service throughout the day/weekend in the future?

AFAIK, it’s to reduce overcrowding in the already popular 4tph during the AM peak. It’s neither going to be added in the PM peak in reverse direction, nor added on weekends.
