Looking at advance fares for travel from Nottingham to London St Pancras in the new timetable the 11:50 departure offers an advance fare of £62.50 for every weekday that I select, even for those just released in July.

This is odd as the services either side of this time are offering advances for less than half this price. I know advance tickets are quota controlled but this does seem to be an anomaly.

Does anyone have any idea why the 11:50 is so expensive? I did try asking EMR but got a standard reply about advance fares varying in price.

I don’t have the timetable to hand, but is this service perhaps faster/with fewer calling points than the services you’re comparing with?
