EMR Lincoln to London Intercity Service

What do you guys think the future is of the One a day Lincoln to London Intercity EMR Service is?

Increase back to what I believe was two returns Journeys A day? Or will it soon go entirely when New Bi modes are introduced? Or will EMR keep some old 222s?

Currently 2 Up (in marginal time) and no Down.

No reason I can see why Bimodes shouldn't be authorised and used. but it will depend on whether it fits the new timetable.

Is this needed any more? The KX service is far quicker.

I would think a Birmingham service (extend a Nott?) might be more additive. I don't think demand to the likes of Leicester from Lincoln or other interim places, is meaningful.

Trouble is that would be XC rather than EMR and they don't serve east of Nottingham.

That's because only one of them stops there, according to the timetable

Lincoln to Leicester is quite a flow of people - usually students. Whether they travel on the London services, I don’t know.

Isn’t it mainly to provide commuter capacity into Nottingham?
