I'm catching this train from Prague to Basel SBB in August to avoid European Sleeper

It is due to arrive at 0720

I'm looking at catching the 0834 TGV Lyria to Paris

Is this enough time for a connection?

I guess 5 minutes is enough if it's on time. You can use something like bahn.expert to check historical live times. It looks like in the past 2 weeks you may have missed the connection twice.

If getting to Paris by a certain time is necessary, one option could be to get off at Karlsruhe and go from there if it becomes evident that you won't make it to Basel on time. But likely requires a new ticket or at least new reservation fee

I only see one missed connection over the past 2 weeks (the morning of 1/5). It's usually on time or a bit delayed. The beginning of March wasn't very good, I suspect engineering works somewhere.
You should be covered by AJC in case it does go wrong.

You can also consider leaving the sleeper at Offenburg or Freiburg if on the morning there is a safer connection.

Is this buying normal tickets or Interrail?

That's because if Interrail, the Lyria supplement from Basel is horrid so I'd use TER to Mulhouse or Strasbourg then TGV - often takes around the same time as the Lyria from Basel. If heading for Eurostar, Est-Nord is easier than Gare de Lyon so slightly faster.

Alternatively you can get to Paris much earlier, but lose sleep, by dropping off the sleeper earlier to go via Strasbourg. The 1/day Freiburg-Paris TGV, if using Interrail, is domestic Eur 10 or 20 rather than Lyria supplement, but it leaves at 0636 which is too tight from the sleeper. Leaving the sleeper at Offenburg to catch the TGV gives about 90 minutes, though if on time that's not particularly comfortable wait.

For normal tickets sncf-connect helpfully (!) offer leaving earlier and changing at Mulhouse where it is cheaper.
