Euston - Waterloo transfer time

Been a few years since I've done Euston - Waterloo, can anyone give me an estimate of how long it should take on a normal day?

Looking at getting into Euston at 8am then a train out of Waterloo at 8.30, I'm sure I may have done it in the past but can't quite remember...

Logically straight down the Northern line would be the quickest, unless anyone can suggest otherwise.

It's not a valid connection, so won't be possible on Advance tickets, but it is do-able easily, if the trains are on time.

And yes you would just take the Northern direct. If there are any issues on that line, change at Oxford Circus.

I used to arrive into Euston at 09:34 and make the 09:54 from Waterloo, although of course we rushed and went to the front of the train at Euston - arrival and tube. It’s certainly do-able in 30 minutes.

I make my place to Euston is just over 30mins, including a 10 min walk to Lambeth North and a change at Oxford Circus. You should be fine with 30mins even if the Northern line service is a bit uneven. There isn't time for dawdling however!

20 minutes is doable but it really depends on gate lines.
If today is a normal day then you wouldn’t make it.

If on the day the Northern Line is disrupted the Victoria Line from Euston to Oxford Circus for the Bakerloo Line to Waterloo is nearly as quick. This route via Oxford Circus is my first choice for a Kings Cross to Waterloo move and usually takes about 20 minutes from concourse at Kings Cross to concourse at Waterloo.
