Ffestiniog Railway: Trains departing Blaenau Ffestiniog on 5th or 6th of May 2025

Good morning,

I would love to take a break from my Interrail trip by using the Ffestiniog Railway from Blaenau Ffestiniog all the way down to Porthmadog. However, I'm unable to find any departure information from Blaenau, only like pre-booked round trips I cannot use.

Can anyone please provide me with the timetable for this Monday and Tuesday May the 5th and 6th? I would also je interested what locomotive is hauling the trains since I'm very interested in the Fairlie locomotives.

There's a summary timetable available here which should hopefully give you the information you need.
The FR publish their loco roster on their Facebook page - I'm afraid it looks like it'll be mostly diesel haulage at the beginning of next week due to the high fire risk.

I believe all the pre-booked trips (with the exception of the Porthmadog to Tan-y-Bwlch ones) have a coach available for passengers doing hop-on/hop-off trips, or single journeys, with tickets available from the guard or the ticket offices at stations.
