Hi,

1)Does anyone know whether IÉ FIP Coupons are accepted on the DART between Dublin and Dun Laiore?

2)Also, if I hold an NIR and IÉ coupon, does this permit me to travel between Belfast and Dublin for free on the Enterprise?

3)Anyone know the best way to get from Belfast Intl Airport to Antrim station?

Thanks :)

1) Yes. 'DART' is just a trading name. It is completely an Irish Rail service.

2) Yes. The FIP border station is Dundalk. The NIR coupon is valid Belfast > Dundalk, and the IE one Dundalk > Dublin. You can use any service with these tickets, even if it doesn't stop at Dundalk (i.e. 08:00 Belfast > Dublin).

3) There is an hourly Ulsterbus service from the International Airport to Antrim (109A). There is a bus from BFS to Belfast Great Victoria Street station every 10-15 minutes which is much better for rail connections unless you happen to be going to Antrim itself or somewhere on the Derry line.

The Irish FIP Coupon is marked CIE for Coras Iompair Eireann. I think this is the Umbrella organisation that oversees public transport in the South.

Does that mean that your coupon will be valid on Bus Eireann also?

I wouldnt have thought so, but might be worth emailing IE and asking.

I haven't yet made use of my Irish coupons, might have to do that in the spring!
