Which first classes provide complimentary Coke and which provide complimentary Pepsi?

I used to be indifferent but the recent reformulation of Pepsi makes it undrinkable to me. It's very disappointing that LNER, who I use the most, provide the latter.

Gone are the days of... "It's Virgin Cola. is that alright?"

I think Pepsi should actually humour themselves a bit and adopt "Pepsi, is that OK?" as a strapline for a bit. They could always then camp it up with a bit of "Is that OK? It's more than OK, it's the best cola!" type acting.

(Personally I don't mind either)

Until around the time of the pandemic LNER served Coca Cola products at the Food Bar and in first class, but have now swapped to Pepsi. I'm not exactly sure of the date when they made the swap, as I only used first class on LNER for the first time since 2019 earlier this year.

I can't remember from UK travels in Sep/Oct 2022, but do any rail operators serve Pepsi Max Vanilla, or is that flavour not even available at UK supermarkets let alone on trains?

Presumably Avanti have now used up any old remaining stocks of 'Virgin Cola'? ;)

No, they wont serve all the flavour variants on services.

At the start of the pandemic, where a lot of healthier eating choices started (and finished quickly) I found myself in the garden celebrating by emptying 4 pepsi 2L bottles into the grid. Cakes and pizzas returned however the sole healthy move retained was removal of all fizzy drinks. Now drink either water or water with Asda Orange & Mango cordial (£1).

I used to like Virgin Cola. I am sure the M&S cola they used to sell was the same.
So did I. The problem was with Virgin Cola it was too good. You need to read the story behind its downfall if you don't already know.

I reckon that Pepsi let LNER have their product for free and consider it a marketing expense.

Might explain why they've gone from tiny 250ml (or were they 150ml?!) cans of Coke straight to proper 330ml cans of Pepsi. Always seemed a bit odd that they changed supplier and went back to full size cans (not seen, I think, since the days of East Coast very early Virgin Trains East Coast!).

Personally big fan of Pepsi Max so this change has been welcomed by me whatever the reason for the change.

Are the cans usually chilled? Nothing worse than getting a warm can of coke and the like.

Can be a little hit and miss. I'd say the comfortable majority of the time they're chilled but you will occasionally get one which has clearly been in the fridge but not quite long enough. I assume it happens if they've just loaded stock right before service and the drinks weren't chilled before loading. But it's not something I worry about especially.
