If all services used the hospital, it would be far too crowded. The Council or First did consider putting all services through recently, but decided there would be chaos for busses.
As for all passengers using P&R, in the peak times, services are standing full, so no spare capacity.
So put on extra busses - there aren't any! Extra busses would need extra drivers - not enough of them now I hear. I've heard the Council will not pay out for extra vehicles or staff.
When the Council wanted to set up P&R, all the other service operators objected to the loss of revenue. Hence why P&R has a limited stop and car park tickets only (but does accept Plusbus).

Looks like the entire T1/T2 allocation is single deck today. A mix of E200s, Darts and knackered Solos. Same on the A17.

    Undoubtedly due to the weather.

Atlantic Coaster Solo SR 53255 on the 10:22 U4 service from Falmouth Moor to Penzance

    53805, 44970, 42559, 42562, 53253, 44967 and 44969 on T1/T2 services today

Looks like it's only Summercourt and Falmouth sending any deckers out today, although routes such as the A1 and 27 are usually single deckers anyway

Maybe not necessarily every route but the hospital does need more attention than its currently getting, similar level of service to the Devon and Cornwall days withthe 88 and 27 is what's needed

Yeah the PR1 is rammed at rush hour but to be fair so is every bus and train, if they ran a Saturday timetable all week the city centre would be better served, then you are spreading the amount of passengers over more buses, also speeding up boarding times as less people will be waiting, it's nothing worse than seeing dozens of PR1s pass before the convoy of Tinners arrive and miss your connection at the bus station anyway

I've already decided to cancel my hospital appointment next Thursday at Treliske, even though it's with a surgeon. I can't drive at present and, with two separate groin hernias now confirmed (I'm hopeful of getting one fixed next month), a medical condition I've lived with for years which happened to come up on a scan I can probably continue to live with til the end of my days. My MS plus the hernias are my current priority, and I'll ignore anything else that's not life-threatening. If the bus I'd likely catch took me to the Trelawny Wing, or if I could afford taxis at both ends of my trip then I'd probably go. I can't hang round at that draughty stop at Truro Station waiting for one of the hospital buses. One of the EMPTY PR1 buses that pass that way at 10.30 a.m. ish should stop. I'm seriously thinking of getting under the skin of Cornwall Council on this if they don't change their attitude. A clock face quarter-hourly service might be sufficient to appease me, though I'd be working for all those who need to use the services, including staff at the hospital. I've got form!

33165 showing up on bus times as being on 234 this morning. If I’m not mistaken I thought this bus left Cornwall a while ago.

That would explain why I haven't seen 33067 around then. Of course 33147 was the fire damaged one.

That is one of the major flaws with buses in Truro and one I doubt will be sorted when Kernow starts the new contract, the amount of tines I've missed my U1 connection due to the Tinner running late but could of made it if I was allowed on the PR1, or the other way been late for work but wouldn't of if I caught the PR1, one would hope it would change in April but I doubt it

If Kernow was still worried about the lost of revenue, they aren't going to lose anymore then they are without the CC services

It was a collective of ALL operators who objected to P&R taking fares, not just First and WG (at that time).
Would suspect PCB would also object to revenue loss to P&R, even if they have to sub-contract services back to smaller operators if they can't raise enough vehicles and staff.

Kernow have confirmed on Facebook that there will be another 'Go Cornish' bus in the future, unsure who the candidate will be, wouldn't be surprised if its one of the soon to arrive Gemini's

There's a great shot of an Enviro 200MMC on the 95 on the BBC News website under the heading Government pledging £5 billion for buses and cycling. Is that leaving Widemouth Bay? RichW will probably know.

that’s where I think it looks like. It’s a stock image that’s been used for a number of articles nationally believe it or not even some that are nothing to do with First bus

Long wheelbase Trident 33002 is on the 5 today, which is certainly overkill!

Saw a Trident twice today on the A17 which carried a sign affixed to the rear lower deck window, in green, with the message' PROPER JOB. REAL CORNISH BUSES'. The Proper job bit was in large print at the top, accompanied by a thumbs up also in green, with the other words on a lower line in smaller print. For a few seconds, I thought they were advertising for bus drivers, but then I remembered that 'proper job' was an expression still in use in parts of Cornwall twenty and thirty years ago, much like 'dreckly', and I feel FK were merely trying to ingratiate themselves with the 'Old Cornish' prior to the new boy on the block making incursions into their area.

That's what I told everyone who asked what the 'proper job' stickers were about, Kernow are trying to be the real Cornish company, not that other company who are coming across the Tamar.

Wouldn't be surprised if most of GCB's and Kernow's buses are built in the same factory, Citybus seems to equally like ADL vehicles, so maybe Kernow could of put 'Real Cornish drivers' instead?

Even tho Kernow are owned by the Scots, probably the reason why they got rid of most of the First branding!

First South West Ltd is a company with its registered head office in Camborne. Therefore it's Cornish. :D

And Go Cornwall's head office is in Truro, so not much to be gleaned from that! Advertising 'Cornish drivers' on buses would, though, be illegal, and rightly so.

44921 at Redruth station this afternoon. Given it still hasn't had branding applied I wonder if it's leaving the fleet with the forthcoming upheaval.
