Uni E400MMC 33476 seen in Camborne on rail replacement.
Trident 33084 just brought into Camborne courtesy of a Jose Recovery truck.
Broke down at Rosudgeon this morning.
Thanks for the information. Mousehole Solo 53704 operating out of Camborne on the 47.
I don't get why Cornish people are so obsessed about everything being Cornish, Having used to live in Cornwall throughout my childhood I used to find it a bit silly really, especially when people complain about First or Go-Ahead being outsiders, yet people seem to forget that the original Great Western Railway was based in Swindon with a office at Paddington, yet it used to operate across Cornwall. The fact is that FK is one of the few First bus subsidiary that actually makes any money and fairly soon will probably have one of the most modern fleets in the entire First bus network, if that's not a commitment to Cornwall I don't know what is.
A Tinner on rail replacement this afternoon, together with a Truronian liveried coach showing 'Truro' on destination screen.
If you're not Cornish you're not likely to understand. Let's move off this topic.
Kernow's Trident 33173 helping GWR out with Rail Replacement services between Penzance and Truro, during the week long engineering works, at Truro bus station this rather wet evening at 19:30, before I presume it headed to Truro depot after a driver change?
Atlantic Coaster Solo 53251 on the 22:35 T1 service from Truro to Penzance
Seen on rail replacement in West Cornwall this morning were:-
33472, 20323, 33230, 20360, 20324, 32756, 23313, 33453, 33469, 20803 & 44969. Vamooz coach on standby at Truro railway station.
Mousehole Solo 53826 westbound on the Hayle bypass at mid-day.
Looks like one of Kernow's old buses, don't Mullion School use the Kernow's old B7TLs?
Certainly gone down hill since its life with Kernow
I suspect that’s not a former Kernow machine. It’s likely to be ex Bristol W805PAE.
they’ve also got an ex kernow P25*UCW in their fleet, it’s one or the other
A further fleet update posted on Facebook behind the scenes. Even more Bristol Gemini’s on the list now!
The photo shows Barbie interior (and not just the moquette). The Olympian interior isn't Barbie as it is slightly too old and was delivered new to an independent CentreWest.
BTW, thanks for the update on the "new" fleet. 43 Geminis on the way....
There are 42 President / ALX400 Tridents in the FSW fleet, so at the risk of being slapped down again for speculating, perhaps complete replacement of all these?
Caetano Nimbus 42358 was on U3 duties today, unusual for a single decker on Uni services
Probably due to some Uni buses being used on RR work
Thanks guys, remember seeing some Ex- First buses down there when I passed on the L1 a few months ago, wondered which one was the bus in question
At least the article clearly mentions who the operator is, as otherwise it may have been assumed it was a First Bus.
Indeed, that would be the vehicle in question - the nasty hard seats First used, coupled with the standard chunky window frames from the flush glazed windows are the giveaway.
Also looks like the vehicle is still in "Olympia" according to a photo taken last October.
I presume the Eclipse Gemini's are all coming over from the Bristol fleets?
Depending on the schools tender package?
Of the Geminis, a good number are ex Bristol though some have only been there since September when they arrived ex Glasgow.
A number are coming from West Yorkshire with one from York
There’s a pair of Scania L94on the list too due to kernow. Full size single deckers haven’t been seen here for a few years.
Looks like the additional Gemini's on the list are from Leeds (Bramley). They are probably either directly or indirectly displaced as a result of the recent resumption of Streetdeck deliveries to the city.
I might be wrong but are there some further additions to the incoming coaches on that list? Some were coming from Scotland & Cymru but I can't find the details of what was due.
seen the list some are from Bradford and maybe Halifax aswell
Checking the SOES fleetlists, they’re all ex Bradford
20325 still to come from Cymru. 20354 is new on the list presumably from Scotland.
Does this influx of Geminis mean Kernow have retained their school contracts?
Will the Geminis that are coming down will they do normal routes all day aswell like routes T1/T2 and routes that goes to Newquay.
