Anyone got any idea what is happening to this nationaly owned loco. The official site is vague to say the least and all reference to Scotsman has been eradicated from East Lancs Railways website.
(Maybe its been sqirreled away to Tydsley-lets face it they seem to be the only ones who can keep a RUNNING fleet of main-line locos and actually run what they say they are running!
Cant wait for their open day (& Tornado over Shap & Beatock next week)

i think, the last I heard, it's still at Ian Riley's works at Bury, they seem to keep finding something else that needs doing, rather like Royal Scot. They took the boiler off to look at something and then found that the frames were cracked, or something like that. Apparently

August 26 i was in the ELR depot's and Scotsman was in Rileys, think it was minus its wheels for some reason.
