Ok, there are 2 grades of Shunter (or Train preparer as they're know as), mobile and static.
Mobile shunters are based at particular location but travel to loads of different locations, can lodge away as well, there on around 30k.
Static are as their title sugests stay at one place, up north there's static shunters at Crewe,Tunstead, Santon and other locations I not sure of, salary?? Sorry I can't help you with that but is a fair bit less than a mobile.
