looking at putting a car on this from Paris to Nice. Can we use our ATOC FIP pass on this for a discount? Anyone used this service?

Used it a couple of times, though not specifically to Nice.

You book the car separately (it travels on an overnight freight), and passenger tickets in the normal way.

Note that you are allowed an extra 24 hours free parking at each end of the journey, meaning you can spend up to 3 nights in Paris (or en route) without worrying.

I would be pleasantly surprised to hear your car qualified for FIP but I can't help.

Ahh fair enough, not sure its an option for us as taking a VW T4 down and it doesnt mention vans.

There is a height limit - our Xsara Picasso fits but don't think yours will.
Duesseldorf-Innsbruck on OeBB has a generous height limit but it's hardly convenient for Nice!

yeh - somebody else still driving a Xsara Picasso...although I haven't been on a French TAC since the 1970s (Dad's Austin 1300...)

Best TAC experience was heading south to Grenoble in 1969 and waking up to find our TAC being hauled by a 141R between Lyon and Grenoble.
