Has any consideration ever been given to replacing the 2 existing stations with just the one? It seems to me that by moving the platforms to the East of the current Garforth station to near Bar Lane, you could still use the existing station car park. You could then put a new walkway in on the North side to the site of the current East Garforth station. This would cut out a station stop on the stoppers and would I assume help with pathing as a result. The new station would also then be fully PRM compliant which the current stations aren’t.

Something I was wondering about, as there is to be an additional station between Crossgates and Garforth (Thorpe Park).

Yes, oftentimes. It was suggested somewhere and several people - myself included - thought it a spiffing idea. So it'll probably never happen. You'd ideally just move the platforms down a bit so that they start at the ends of the current platforms, which would give you space for ramped access at the western (existing) entrance as well as a pedestrian entrance/exit on Bar Lane (no place for vehices there). You'd have to lose a bit of the car parking to make it happen as well
