As far as I am aware a 701 has been repainted into Great British Railways livery. Does anyone know what unit it is, and more importantly how I can find out when it's running? Not sure if this is the best forum for that first question though.

It is not repainted. It has a small vinyl placed on the side, post 13346 in The thread below shows the vinyl

It is unit number 701 046 that has this sticker.



It is just a cheap basic sticker rather than a repaint.

Ah ok, I did read somewhere that they did, but I guess not.

RTT has it running empty up from Bournemouth to Waterloo overnight, to take up a working in passenger service at 0614 tomorrow to Shepperton, diverted via Richmond and Kingston (reverse) because of maintenance work at Raynes Park. Unless I have misread RTT (again!), it will then run ECS via Clapham Junction (reverse) and East Putney to Wimbledon depot, arriving shortly before 9am. Whether it will come out again later in the day I cannot divine from the Runes of RTT.

You did read that, but it looks like whoever in the Department for Transport told journalists what was going to happen did not know what was going to happen themselves.
