Hi

Sorry if there is already a thread on this. I’m going to be doing my psychometric test with GBRf in the coming months and just wondering if anyone has any advice/tips/insight and revision suggestions

Thanks everyone

Just do a search on here mate on OPC assessments. At the end of the day it comes down to 'you can do them or you can't' but you can be as best prepared by researching it as much as possible.

There is various practice material out there which can be purchased but I can't speak on how helpful it is.

The one thing you can practice and improve to an extent over time is the group bourdon test. Practice this once or twice a day up until your assessment and you should be as prepared as you can be. There's sheets you can print out from the sticky at the top of this forum.

Good luck!

Hi mate. I did my Psychometric with GBRF in October. I fell short on the Bourdon so re-taking that in April. Definitely practice the Bourdon test but make sure you print the sheets off rather than do it on a PC/laptop. I've been practicing twice a day since mid-January. Give me a DM if you want to talk more and I'll let you know the structure of the day.

Practise the bourdon test as much as you can (not on the computer). You'll be amazed how much you can speed up and become more accurate.
I practised every day for a month for mine. I bought a book and photocopied 100s of them.
For the memory test, I just got a book and read a section of it for 4 minutes I think and then went away and did something else. They'll make you wait on the actual day before answering the questions. Then I wrote down everything I could remember.
There's an example high low beep test on the Internet somewhere so I'd have a go at that just to know what to expect - I found that one of the harder parts.
Remember you only get 2 goes at this and it's for a great job earning great money. Don't fail through lack of preparation.
Good luck.

Hi are you able to give me the link to where you got the printable Bourdon tests?
