Hi all,

Got details for every other bit I did last week, but I have yet to source details for some of my German moves. Indeed, if anyone knows of a reliable source for them I'd be happy to hear of it. The bits I need are:

Aachen Hbf to Alsdorf Poststrasse
Alsdorf Poststrasse to Hertzogenrath

I did refer to the Thomas Cook timetable, but as it's not a touristy line it (like much of Lithuania's railways, but that's a different topic) isn't included in the timetable.

Thanks in advance :)

Cheers for the responses, annoying none of it works on my phone.

I thought it was all DB bar heritage railways over there, indeed it was DB Class 643 DMUs on the line. RE20 services if that's at all helpful.

Elsewhere I've been advised to get the eiselbahnatlas for Germany, which I'll order next week when I've got money. Would that atlas be very helpful for stuff like this?

The Eisenbahn Atlas Duetschland does have distances in it. However, be warned they are a pain to work out and will cause lots of head scratching!

Yes but only to the nearest 10th km . The software mentioned gives the exaxct distance to three decimal points

Atlas:

or 44 Euros from the German version of Amazon.

There is an excellent railway bookshop in Leipzig Hbf, called Ludwig, that will certainly have it. They are located to the right of the station as you stand with your back towards the buffers

S&W atlases are expensive but worth it

Funnily enough I was in both Herzogenrath and Aachen earlier today. I don't do mileages but I just thought I'd mention it

Tried getting the software to work today, for some reason the laptop I'm using doesn't like .zipx files. So whilst it's not 100% accurate, the km figures on the first link I received on this thread will do. Editing of it will be done when I can get it to work.

Thanks all for the help, I'm planning to get the atlas next week if I've been paid enough to do so :)

In case you still need the info the S+W Atlas gives
Aachen-Stolberg Hbf 9.9km
Stolberg-Alsdorf P'str 9.5
Alsdorf-H'rath 10.1 (or 10.2 according to Wiki)
