No. Although it might be useful to include the dates and times when you would like to travel.:D

Are you sure it's not valid? Looks to be covered by Map FD? I've certainly travelled Aberdeen - Glasgow via Edinburgh on occasion for work purposes (breaking journey at Edinburgh).

Apologies. I was thinking of things like Leuchars to Glasgow via Dundee, which is not valid (despite being quickest). Although, ironically, it shows up as valid on at least some journey planners when there is a rail replacement bus between Perth and Glasgow.

But to clarify: Glasgow to Dundee is valid via Edinburgh.

There are engineering works around Stirling until this Sunday. All passengers are being advised to travel via Haymarket. Any tickets are valid (even previously bought advance singles). Don't worry.

Specifically, there's a negative easement disallowing journeys to Leuchars and Cupar from Glasgow via Dundee.

But yes, as already mentioned, Glasgow to Dundee is allowed via Edinburgh (and due to an easement you're always allowed to go via Waverley as well as Haymarket).

....

That's right ...

000046 Journeys from Cupar or Leuchars to Stirling or Glasgow are not permitted via Dundee.
This prohibition applies in both directions.

... as far as I can tell Dundee would always fail the fare-check for these journeys so I'm not 100% what work the easement is doing.

I got on the wrong train once at Queen Street, and found myself heading to Edinburgh instead of Dundee. I was mightily relieved when the guard informed me my ticket was valid via Edinburgh, and I arrived only 40 minutes late instead of an hour late.
