Today I'll work my very last shift on the Amsterdam IECC. After 5 years working as senior CIS operator and train announcer I'll become Train Manager on board the Domestic High Speed Train service FYRA.
With last year news of a direct Amsterdam to London service by both DB and Eurostar, a long standing dream (to be able to travel to London without the need to change at Brussels) has become a whole lot closer.
This got me thinking "why not become a TM on those services"...
As if it was meant to be I came into contact with people in NS-Hispeed and applied for the job as Train Manager for the FYRA services.
So I set myself a new goal:
Do all you can to become the train manager on the first Amsterdam to London service.
So beware, you might see me 4 times a week on St. Pancras in the near future.
