It's a preserved GWR loco, definately. Nasty amount of damage though!

I don't know much about this train/loco... is it a preserved GWR loco, maybe Hall class?

In "reality" the loco is Olton Hall, and painted a fetching shade of green. Its been toodling around Scotland for ages like this (well not tagged) and has been causing havoc due to its very wide loading gauge (and NR inability to check it was ok) fouling platforms. All good fun :)

Either that or the tagging will be a bit wonky. Something along the lines of a faded streak as they fall to the floor paying homage. Then again, they couldn't give a monkeys about that.

They tag to get their name around, they see something like "stinky" in illegible hand writing and they somehow thing "woah dat stinky mans sik reppin dis areaz".

They prob don't know who Harry potter is for a start.

I'd tie them to the front of a loco in Summer at 100mph when all the flies are about

Can't have any 'fun' justice in this country.

All of this crime at Carnforth recently is pretty worrying for me, as 6233 is meant to be there from this Friday afternoon until Monday morning, and then again on Tuesday afternoon through to Wednesday morning. Also, our Inspection Saloon 6320 is sometimes out-based there when on loan to the WCRC, but luckliy is currently at the back of our shed, out of harm's reach :)

isn't Carnforth like a huge parking spot for David Smith's coaching fleet? Or has ownership changed?
I think it's still David Smith. The stupid thing is, he has over 100 coaches, of which about 80 are in mainline working order and he only has the 1 cleaner!!!
Therefore, every time we (PMR Tours) use the WCRC stock, the windows are always filthy, and the buffet coach we use ALWAYS has a very bad flat on one of it's tyres! :angry4:

ah Carnforth, theres a very sad story in the history of preservation. The shed and coal stage that are unique in this country are close to needing demolition on safety grounds :(
I have an article about the demise of the place, with an interview from Mr (git) Smith, quoted as saying that "enthusiasts are a nuisance, only wanting to see shiny varnished engines puffing up and down".

to this I say, you Mr Smith, are a grade A a*****e!!!

they really should sort that man out.
