Heart of England rover

Just been looking at the map for the HofE rover, doesnt show the line between Crewe-Shrewsbury, only via Chester however its valid at Wem,Prees,Whitchurch so am i right in guessing you can use it on trains going via Wem etc? States...."Chester to Hereford via Wrexham and Shrewsbury"

Not sure which map you have been looking at, but the one on National Rail Enquiries includes the Crewe-Shrewsbury line. So yes, it's valid via Nantwich/Wem.

Network rail site shows it on the map. I did one in March with no problems

Good value Rover, stayed at the Premier inn at Wrexham and had some enjoyable trips out on the TFW 67’s

The map I'm looking at (NRE Rovers & Rangers, HofE Rover) includes Crewe-Shrewsbury.

Are you mixing it up with the West Midlands Day Ranger which doesn't include that line (and others)?
