Does anyone recognise this shunter spotted in Carnforth Steam Town yard. Suspect by its design being too wider profiled to be British gauge it’s come over from the European main land and it doesn’t look like any factory type shunter I’ve seen in the UK either

The Hunslet has rods and inside frames, the Henschel outside frames, while the axle spacing appears different. I really think that the OP’s photo of a Henschel with the 1973 body style, possibly a DHG 700 C.

This is an O&K MC700N, recently used on Crossrail construction based out of Plumstead since 2016. Sold at an auction in October.

And we have a winner ;)

Can confirm it doesn’t quite fit the GB loading gauge.
