Hi, I’m new to rail forums so don’t completely understand how it works so I hope this is the correct place to ask!
I’m aware that the small branch has some regularly operating class 20s, I was just wondering if any one knew roughly when they run, I’m assuming they just go to earls sidings basically as soon as the freight arrives and takes the load down the branch into the cement works?!
can anyone confirm this? And does anyone know any good locations for photos?
thanks

Don’t know about timings, but there are a couple of public footpaths that cross the branch, walkable from Hope station/village. One is a footbridge over a cutting near the main line end, and the other a foot crossing nearer the cement works. OK for photos, but not spectacular.
I’ve struck lucky there a couple of times, and I’ve heard or seen trains on the branch even on a Saturday morning while walking in the area.

Thanks for the locations!
I’ll definitely look into them a little more!

One other tip: when walking around the area, I’ve found that the branch loco tends to work out and back from the cement works. So if you hear or see a trip towards the main line, there will probably be a return trip to the works within the hour.

I’ve been informed that roughly 90 mins after a DB train arrives in Earls sidings the 20 runs to the cement works with the Wagons but it’s usally much quicker with FL trains
