I was wondering what the rolling stock for HS2 would be labelled. I’m unsure about how it would be classified (I.E. it’s British Rail Class), however I feel like as it goes 360 kmh, it could be cool to call it the Intercity 360. Anyway, just an idea. I’m aware it’s part of the Zefario family, just wondering what it could be branded as.

The eurostar trains are class 373 and 374 so they could be in the 800 range, given how sensible TOPS is they could be 900 or 1000 for all we know.

Intercity branding hasn't been regularly used post BR aside from the word Intercity itself so I doubt we will see Intercity 360.

Classes 800-899 is assigned for high speed sets, so almost certainly from that range.

Branding may well be more related to them being HS2, rather than intercity.

OP seems to be confusing TOPs classification and train branding. For example, the Class 390 is called the Pendolino for marketing purposes. I imagine something similar for HS2. TOPS will be something like Class 852, meanwhile the brand will be something the government believes will entice people, or maybe just be something that they personally like, like say, Brittania's.

Ah, I feel I worded it wrong, I understand the difference, I meant that even though it’s TOPs classification would be 8xx, I was talking about what it would be branded as.

Or maybe I read it wrong. Who knows. I still stick by the brand name. Something to do with flag waving. Wouldn't even be surprised if the train livery was the Union Jack. It's all about talking about Britain being great instead of actually making it great.

Given that domestic high speed services are branded as Southeastern High Speed, I could see HS2 services being branded Northern High Speed, or possibly West Coast High Speed, or London NorthWestern Highspeed

Given that 360 kph is 225 mph, they coud call it Intercity 225 and save themselves a load of new graphic design work .....

As things stand, "Avanti High Speed" is the likely brand, but with that TOC's abject failure who knows?
