Ideal site to buy tickets, with no refund or change fees when the refund request is made at very short notice, or after the booked departure

Anyone have any ideas for the best retailer to purchase these from please based on the following criteria:
  • Refundable with no admin fee
  • Changeable with no admin fee
(Ideally both at short/no notice/after the originally stated departure time if required as sometimes I find out I don't need to travel at very short notice, and the standard change policies seem to only apply for notifying the company the day before etc.)

Usually I go for railcard discounted tickets purchased on the day, but thinking about buying these in bulk, coupled with a payment method cashback scheme if applicable, to stretch the funds further.

I imagine this information would be helpful for some commuters.

Railsmartr.co.uk does not charge fees to do either.

If you're looking at a payment method cashback scheme which only gives cash back on one transaction, and the merchant offered is LNER, buy e-vouchers for whatever amount you'll do within a year, and then book the trips when you need them.

My post was split out from the thread by the mods - it was in relation to the Great British Rail Sale. Normally I purchase the trips when I need them, so buying e-vouchers is a good idea, but on this occasion I'm talking about buying a load in advance which is why I'm thinking re refunds/changes to journeys. Normally I only purchase the ticket on the way to the station, so its *unlikely* my plans would change - so I'm not very well versed in this

I see. Most GB Rail Sale tickets are advances so wouldn't be refundable. If you are on one of the routes where they are doing off peak, I believe Southeastern doesn't charge refund fees.
