Apologies if this is in wrong thread but was wondering if anyone had access to information on 201s in Ireland. Just wondering which locos are out tomorrow (Friday 10th) and Saturday. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No definitive gen, but I was in Ireland last weekend using 201 services.

Enterprise services were using 206/207/227/231 last Saturday: there is often a swap-out on one turn at Connolly (between arrival of 0800 from Belfast and departure of the 1120), with the standby loco going onto the set and the loco coming off the set going to Inchicore for maintenance. 8209 came over from Inchicore to take up the standby role.

Out of Heuston on Sunday I saw 215/219/226/228 (yes, Enterprise loco on Corks)/229. 220 and 225 are reportedly at Inchicore on, or due, overhaul.

Not sure if that helps or not...

Thanks for info. Need 225 so if on overhaul then no point looking for it.
Looking out for 233 on Enterprise but it seems very rare and looking at your info not out so guessing another one I won't see.

I've got two observations from today which I hope are of use. 209 was on the 14:06 Belfast - Dublin, and 231 was on the 13:20 Dublin - Belfast. 209 will have finished the day in Dublin, and 231 will have finished the day in Belfast.
I'm back in England now so unfortunately won't be able to provide any gen on tomorrow's workings.

Thanks, after 233 so sounds unlikely that's out. Seems very elusive.

There is usually a 201 kept spare in Belfast also. Have seen 233 on the Belfast frequently but not recently. A 201 ran into trouble about a week ago and blocked the line between Balbriggan and Drogheda for hours.

Possibly 233 on Yorkgate as accounted for all the others. Could see 8208 (at least assumed it was as in standard Enterprise livery) at Yorkgate and possibly another behind it but a unit was obscuring my view. 206 was seen at Inchicore, 227 was on shed at Connolly, 228 was on Cork circuit with 207, 8209 and 231 on Belfasts.
