Immingham TMD

I hear that the TMD at Immingham is set to shut shortly. So what is the future of the rail network to and from the TMD, including the rest of the 'Light Railway'? Given that the only thing that uses the line to the TMD is loco movements. Are we about to lose yet more track to the shrubs and trees, or will it be developed for other use, I have heard a rumour about car trains maybe using the site/area? And, where will the locos be kept afterwards?

Not that much of the place left now anyway as the wagon shops etc have all gone.

I remember visiting the area in around 1980 when Immingham had a large allocation of class 37's. The other things that stick out from that time were the carriage sidings at Cleethorpes and the freight yard at Grimsby, both of which were busy places at that time. The Red Bank - Cleethorpes newspaper train was a regular class 40 turn so even if you'd never been to Cleethorpes you certainly knew of the town!

Stand to corrected,but isn't the coaling plant next a gas main which is why it can't be demolished !
