Hi Guys
Thank you for all the good work you do to help everyone in need here
So i have joined since when i got witness paper, now i have receive letter from GTR Thameslink

after going through threads i am writing to them as requested for my version of how it happen in honesty

here is the letter explaining what happen
Dear Prosecution Team,

I am writing regarding the incident on 10/09/2024, during my journey from Luton Airport Parkway to Hendon (GTR REF: GTREMG000000000). I want to express my deep regret and take full responsibility for my actions that day. While I don’t want this letter to sound like an attempt to justify any of my improper actions, I hope to explain how my ignorant, dishonesty and selfish decisions led me to this situation, which I now wish I could undo.

I initially bought a ticket from Luton Airport Parkway to Harpenden while I was going to Hendon, believing this would account for possible train delays. When I arrived at Harpenden and saw there was no delay, I decided to continue my journey, thinking I could purchase the remaining ticket onboard instead of waiting as per morning rush. However, I ran into bank and network issues after we left St. Albans and wasn’t able to buy it in time. Upon arriving at Hendon, I bought the ticket of my last stop which I even denied to the ticketing operator and she did prove me wrong as it made matters worse due to my dishonesty to her which I deeply regret and feel sorry for.

This problem has taught me how matters could get complicated because of selfishness and dishonesty and which has reflected life from the day as i can't leave with the shame of facing the jury for selfishly trying to save £5 out of the full £12 ticket and my family find it shameful of me of how this can lead to criminal records.

I am using this medium to respectfully plead to GTR to consider settling this case internally without proceeding to court as I am willing to cooperate with the team. I fully accept that I was wrong and deeply regret my actions. I am willing to pay the full fare for the journey, along with any administrative fees or penalties associated with this incident.

Thank you for your Consideration

Do you think its ok enough to send this ?

How would it account for possible train delays?

Sounds like clear doughnutting to me, I'd scrap the bit about how you only bought the first ticket "to account for possible train delays". Let me help you here by saying that nobody is going to believe that.

The company may decide to audit your ticket purchasing accounts. Will they see a similar pattern of purchases?

ok Thank you
Although if they Audit the pattern is not regular
i don't ply the road as often and that scenario was just the second attempt, i would remove that and about four times after the incident i have always buy the right ticket
