Interrail app - problems with Polish cross-border services

I'm putting some planned trips this summer into my Interrail app. It seems that the app struggles with Polish cross-border services.

It doesn't recognise EC104 as a through service between Ostrava and Warsaw - I had to break the search at Chalupki.

It also doesn't recognise the Gdansk/Warsaw - Berlin services - it's giving me 'EIC's to Rzepin only then regional trains to Frankfurt Oder and Berlin.

Both searches are for late August. According to DB journey planner all the ECs are shown to be running 'per the WTT' on those dates.

Is this just an Interrail app gremlin? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks.

PKP Intercity does not confirm schedules until 60 days prior to departure for international services (30 days for domestic services).

Ah that makes sense. I should just refresh my searches nearer the time then. Thanks.

Everyone travelling from/to Poland. I've seen this problem being mentioned for weeks now at multiple Polish borders. Usually the train is split at the first Polish station. Not sure who's to blame here, but since the Rail Planner app should never be used to plan, it's rather minor.

Genuine question:

Why not?

Even when it's up-to-date it's not reliably accurate.
The current issue is with any working that changes train number or category en route (through portions...) but it has a standard connecting time that rules out plenty of connections the national operator offers (eg in CH).
Not to mention showing compulsory reservations where there are none (not their fault, blame RDG) and the linked website charging over the odds for them.
Always double-check - and re-check shortly before travel (not the app's fault either, but certain countries alter their timetables for engineering work at a couple of weeks' notice).

Rail Planner is an off-line database - so only useful when you have no internet connection - and weeks out of date.

International planners such as bahn.de get current data from MERITS, so much better provided the operator has uploaded it.

Google, Omio etc - current in some areas but not in others.

So I get to grips with the operator’s or country’s journey planner to avoid surprises on the day.

And as @30907 wrote, in many countries engineering work or timetables are only known a short distance ahead.

SJ aren’t even sure about Narvik-Boden in June, not even at the start of their holiday season so Rail Planner shows no trains running for days on end!

Genuine question:

Why not?

The Rail Planner app now also has an online planner, which is used by default if you are online. The data also come from MERITS, but it's still not so up to date, and there are more problems affecting reliability and usefulness.
