Good evening all,

In a very promising sign, the RPSI's 141 Class loco 175 has been moved from being sandwiched by 162 and a 201 at the other end of the works to being next to the Cravens. I saw this on the 1300 Heuston - Cork but wasn't able to get a shot - so I went back up! Shots from Friday including a misty Portlaoise, a couple at Heuston and a few from Inchicore. Excellent shots :) The Irish Railnetwork is still interesting, even with the wholesale move to CAF DMUs.

How many Mark IIIs are still left (apart from the ones being overhauled by Belmond). Have all the others been scrapped yet?

There are a sum total of 10 Mark 3's left:

6105, 6402 and 7146 are all down in West Clare (Moyasta) preserved.
7403 is due to become a PW Sperry track recording vehicle.
7607 will become the new Weedspray van (both replacing 3187 currently in use).
7122 is dumped in North Wall, having been rejected by Belmond
7607 (9602), 7605 (9604), 7608 (9606) and 7613 (9608) are all Enterprise EGV's in use / in the works.

There's also a sleeper at Whitehead, used for crew accomodation.

Belmond have (for the record) - 7601, 7149, 7104, 7129, 7169, 7158, 7171, 7130, 7116 and 7137, plus 7122 as above

Thanks for the comments - it's still interesting if you know where to look!

Good evening all,

A few photos from Heuston, Portarlington and Kildare from Monday 29th February. Although it was wet some interesting running was around, and as a result I unusually took two videos. One is of 075 on the DFDS liner passing through Portarlington and the other is 078 slipping and screaming out of Kildare with the laden timber. Both are in the album at the end of this post. As usual, click on any of the photos for the full size and description
