Anyone know why the 19:07 from Ramsgate was diverted via Canterbury West? Lots of people wanting Deal, Sandwich and Folkestone were further delayed as a result. The inbound terminating service only made it in at 19:30

I know these things happen for a reason, but I am struggling to find out what that is in this case. I thought the electrical fault was on HS1. Are trains prioritised on the Canterbury route over the Dover one?

Maybe so, it got stuck outside Ashford for a while waiting for a platform so didn’t save much time in the end. At least we all finally made it home

There were lots of problems yesterday; mainly with electrical problems on HS1 causing cancellation of many domestic services between London and Ramsgate/Margate along with points failure at Ashford
