Anybody watch the Kenny Everett drama and repeats of his shows on BBC4 last night? I was laughing out loud. Pure genius. Intelligence verging on insanity.

Not much comedy like this around anymore.

Who exactly was he married to?

And it shows how some people back in the 60s and 70s got upset by Kenny's antics.

When maybe they should have been taking.a closer look at programmes like "Jim'll fix it".

Suprised no one has mentioned Jimmy Saville - he alledgedly seemed to "fix it" for some young ladies ......

Now then.....Now then......

Was Cleo Rocos in it or whatever her name was (the flat chested Brazilian<D)

Small Faces were a pop group in the mid-sixties -Itchycoo Park ???

Ronnie Lane and I think Rod Stewart may have been involved - he certainly was in "The Faces"

Geordie back from exile.
I still remember Kenny Everett's stints on Blankety Blany with Terry Wogan and Wogan having his microphone bent into all sorts of shapes by Everett.

Oh my, Everett was a master of comedy in my book, maybe not everybody's taste but to this day I still smirk when I think of that General chappie.

Round 'em up, put 'em in a field and b..........(well you know the rest :D:D )

Fantastic.

He was probably the most technically brilliant d.j. ever to work on radio, nobody has ever come close since.

Yes, I thought it as a great piece of telly last night. And an excellent reminder of what a funny bloke he was too!

As it happens, when I saw the the old TOTP with Everett last night, I couldn't help thinking that things were very different back in the early 1970's. Asking one girl about her udders couldn't happen today.

The music was pretty poor though.

Agreed. Many have tried, none have succeeded!

I missed it last night. Is it due to be repeated anytime soon?

I predict it will turn up on BBC2 before 2013!

Q5-Q9 then it was rebranded as There's a lot of it about.
These shows heavily influenced Monty Python who were on soon after.

I always liked Spike especially as he was a big animal cruelty campaigner.

Well there must have been more than one lot as the ones I watched were post Monty Python.

It was all archaic nonsense with no ryhme or reason but great fun - full of character actors like David Lodge !!!

There were two Small Faces tracks featured, a short blast of 'Itchycoo Park' and a longer one of 'Afterglow'...

Monty Python started after the first series of Q5 in 1969 till 1974, which is what I meant by the Pythons being influenced by Spike Milligan.

The Q series went from 1969 right through to 1982 including the spin off so you probably were watching Q6 and beyond.

I don't think they were repeated on BBC.
