Does anyone know if Kidderminster Railway Station has any short stay car parking available? I'm meeting someone there over the weekend and would rather not pay £2.20 for what will be like 15 mins at the station

There is no short stay facility sadly, what tends to happen is that people meeting incoming passengers tend to just park up anywhere around the station building area and sit in the car waiting, this is the norm from 1530 to 1630 weekdays with parents picking up schoolkids of trains from Worcester and Hagley, no one seems to object to this.
There is free short stay parking on the main A448 (Comberton Hill) which forms the road bridge over the station platforms but it's luck of the draw if you will find a space or not.

In the end, I just waited outside the station as you suggested...the train was arriving just as I arrived
