I have seen a very old post relating to Lego train modelling.

I cannot remember the username, but let it be known, he is not the only one. I have made an iffy  version of a 91 in a messed around version of BR blue to haul ex express passenger train 60051 coaches as part of the recovered stock of the lego town operator, Metrans (seeing as it clearly is not Octan, I had to find a name). I am thinking the date is near now, in an alternate universe where there is an island west of scilly, with a large population and 1 high speed line around the capital, thirteen regional routes and one high speed line between the capital and the largest port (NOTE: I only modelled a small area of the capital). Alas, I had to take my layout apart, and it is going to take some time to put back together. Also the fact that I am currently away does not help. So try not to expect photos too soon.

I made a passable version of a lego large logo 50 once for my kids (at least that's what I told them ), motorised as well. I may have a photo of it somewhere and will try and find it. At the time I remember finding on YouTube a guy that had made all kinds of things including a Merchant Navy I think and ran them in his garden, there was also a magnificent railway with really gentle prototype curves running all around one floor of his very large house with a full length ICE, TGV and Eurostar fitted with cameras. I don't know how to link things on here as I've only got a rubbish old tablet but I expect they're still on there.

In my youth I created a rudimentary 155-alike out of Lego, with a fictional livery (red/yellow at cab ends, blue/red inners with the red sweeping from low to high approximately 1/3 along). I extended the standard length Lego chassis but the scale was a bit off. Unfortunately the only powered bogies available were 3-axle ones from a locomotive, so both cars ended up as Co-Bo! It wasn't brilliant (being 6-wide, the only front window was within the gangway!) But I was 12 so that's my excuse! I'd also used the 80s-style system which had plastic running rails with power provided by a central rail, but it was the best I could do. It sat on a shelf in my childhood bedroom for a good few months but I never did take a photo unfortunately. :|

It could get around corners though!
