The seats definitely look like the APT standard class but the vehicle sides appear too slab sided and more mk3 like to my eyes?

Thanks for confirming about the mk3, though I have to admit I’m still somewhat baffled as in another brief shot some very APT-P style overhead luggage storage was visible so do you know if any mk3 vehicle or mock-up exists somewhere that has been so fitted @theblackwatch? Its hard to imagine that the filmmakers would go to all this trouble and expense to try and replicate this so accurately for what is probably a relatively low budget production.

You are correct regarding another shot, I gather a Mk.3 was suitably modified for the filming. This film is going to be worth watching for the carriage interior views.

Oh yes, absolutely - I mean who cares about any feeble storyline! ;)

They are a mock-up of the APT first class Thompson tartan seat covers.

What did you think of the film ?

Thanks, don’t recall ever travelling with that interior. The original looks far more elegant.

The film was so so but with some good cast members that kept my interest. The setting will be of interest to some on here as it was for me. Worth a watch.

I'd completely forgotten about those 2x3 stripes at the end of MK3's.
I didn't think any existed today, even in preservation.

All the West Coast Mark 3s had their end walls covered with carpet type material during the 1997-2000 refurbishment so the standard class vehicles that retain that finish will still have the red stripes underneath. The problem is that they'd be very difficult to restore having had the material on top for many years.

Watched this today. They clearly put a lot of effort into the train stuff. Shame they didn't do the same with the plot.

The bit with the payphone was interesting.

Ah right, thanks!

It's says Sky Cinema or streaming - is this a pay service?

Is it just me that found it a bit odd that after so much effort replicating authentic 70s-90s interiors (which most viewers probably wouldn’t fully appreciate) they suddenly cut to a German narrow gauge loco for the steam scene?

APT scenes were filmed in TGS 44015, buffet scene was done in TRSB 40402 (saloon area was also used for the future 2015 scenes), 12094 had numerous interiors fitted for each period and Mk2c 6415 and Mk1 35292 were the other two vehicles used.
