Leeds to Bradford via Brighouse

Taking advantage of the fast through workings from Liverpool to Brighouse (my final destination) on Saturday, I was surprised at the latter to be asked which platform the Bradford train would be going from. This surprised me as I had thought that the Huddersfield - Bradford service had been bus-stituted leaving only the limited Grand Central service on the route.

Further investigations subsequently revealed some quite unusual Leeds to Bradford workings via Brighouse (see subsequent replies below).

Not that unusual. During the Huddersfield remodelling this is going to happen quite a lot.

Presumably covering the block at Huddersfield?
Basically covering the Leeds to Huddersfield stopper (via Dewsbury) and Huddersfield to Bradford service in one with the Mirfield-Huddersfield-Deighton parts lopped off due to the block.

I’m looking forward to the 17 May and the later 30 day blockade when we’ll have a TPX Huddersfield-Manchester Victoria stopper calling at all stations between Rochdale and Brighouse via Mytholmroyd!
