I went onto the railway signage website to see if I could get some level crossing signs just for a fun collection. So I rang them up and enquired and they said they don't do one-offs in a very plain boring/ungrateful way.

To be specific, I am interested into the Black St Georges cross, the combined speed/whistle and St Andrews cross speed sign.

I was wondering where I could get them from with no trouble.

Ebay could be good but they don't come up that often or at all.

I'm not that keen on auctions like Ebay.

But if I do get them, I would like to get them Legally! not torn off by trespassers!

If anyone knows any good website do tell me. Thank you :)

You can get them at Railwayana auctions and the Quorn Railwayana Swapmeet is another place to get them http://www.prorail.co.uk/nuevents/quorn.htm
The 1940's cast iron ones with the locomotive or gate are the most desirable but you have to be careful as copies have been made then deliberately aged by burying them.
